He is aided and abetted in his illegal activities by Christian Bates another likeminded evil individual. The experimentation on these victims of inhumanity has no conception of the pain caused .The medics involved consider themselves to be scientists and work under the premise that is no gain without pain. They operate under the concept of slice and dice and we can’t hear the screams of our victims.

Grant and his team travel to Ireland Hungary and India and America in their attempts to thwart the schemes of these evil men. There is always the constant threat of assassination and violent death in their quest for harmony amongst nations.

Petre Dumitru, a vicious Hungarian cast in the same mould as Cirrus and Bates appeared briefly on the same stage. Dumitru enacted a complete blunder by slaughtering a number of Chinese delegates who were observing an AI demonstration that went radically wrong. The Chinese secret service the MMS found out about the outrage which had dire consequences for Dumitru.

Sicily, under the umbrella of the Mafia, was yet another region where an AI facility was set up. Here again this venture proved to be another disaster. This again is when internecine warfare broke out between the conflicting rivals.

One of the individuals involved was Aurangzeb, a direct descendent of the emperor Aurangzeb the sixth, whose regal title was Alamgir, ‘Seizer of the Universe’. By bribery and corruption Aurangzeb wished to follow in the steps of his long dead ancestor and overthrow the legitimate government of India. Having seized power he intended to turn India into a despotic dictatorship and become the emperor Aurangzeb the seventh. To enable Aurangzeb to obtain his desire, it necessitated that he would defraud the world of trillions of dollars.
His partner in crime was a loathsome character Thomas Starski, who had the morals of a sewer rat and whose sole ambition was to make as much cash as possible.
The temple of Unity under the leadership of Kristus Zanska, the Herald, was the fastest growing religion on the planet. Aurangzeb managed to ingratiate himself into the position of financial controller and proceeded to pillage all their assets. Starski through his world-wide network of offices provided the necessary access to commit this planetary wide cybercrime.
Grant aided by his two comrades in arms Dexter and Tristan, decide to confront and destroy this unholy alliance between these evil men. Both New York and London feature as the targets for this international intrigue. The trail leads from Rome to Hamburg, Vienna and Istanbul and thereon to Bangalore. However, wherever Grant and his team venture, they are constantly betrayed by a rogue CIA informant. In the hands of the assassin the sniper rifle is the favourite weapon of choice.

Commander David Grant is a top operative with US Naval Intelligence. He is sent to Nevada to investigate a space pod that has crashed in the Mojave Desert that contains the incinerated remains of a body of what appears to be an alien. The US government would prefer to keep the knowledge of the alien’s existence a secret until the investigations are complete. The medical investigation team which is led by the beautiful Dr Faith Hunter, find anomalies in the exoskeleton remains of the alien. The haematology investigation revealed that the alien had large amounts of Rhodium, the most valuable metal on the planet, contained in its surviving organs. David Grant whilst on the security base is targeted by a South African mercenary group intent on silencing him forever. He survives sniper rifle, stiletto and bombing and keeps asking himself why when he has already seen the Alien!

A worldwide TV communication is received from the alien space ship from the direction of Mars .The threat emanating from the sinister alien figure on the screen is that unless fifty tons of Rhodium, which is instrumental in sustaining the life force of his people, is deposited in a container in Portland, Oregon the alien ship will destroy by energy beam sixteen of the earth’s major cities in two weekly intervals. The price of Rhodium goes stratospheric, the proposed contents of the container goes up in value to eighty billion dollars. Governments around the world concur with the alien’s demands and the United Nations agrees to amass the Rhodium on behalf of all countries. The day of retribution at Portland arrives, will the aliens destroy Portland or accept earth’s gift of a container of Rhodium. With the world’s media as onlookers, there is a deafening explosion and blinding flash of light and the container disappears. Grant is suspicious and feels that somehow a human agency is involved in spiriting away the fifty ton container.

The followers of the ‘Temple of Unity’ have undertaken a mission to spread his teachings and to worship these gods as benign beings.

Grant’s quest for the truth almost ends in his death on the Rogue River in Oregon. Dr Faith Hunter who has accompanied Grant down the west coast of America has become extremely attracted to him and they become lovers. The mercenaries try to eliminate Grant on numerous occasions and fail dismally, as Grant’s friend Dexter takes them on at their own game. Travelling to London, St Petersburg and Naples, his search continues for the motives of the assassins and the conspiracy starts to unfold. David Grant discovers that the Cause are a group of well-meaning scientists that for over a period of twenty years have manufactured this threat to earth and wished to create such fear of the unknown that world governments would engage in dialogue with each other. Unfortunately the Cause has been hijacked by other scientists in the group intent of taking advantage of the vast wealth that would be accumulated. However, does this threat to humanity really exist or is it a plan contrived in the warped brains of rogue scientists to extract enormous wealth for their own personal gain.

Commander David Grant is one of the US Naval Intelligence top investigators. He is sent to Mindanao Island in the Philippines, a couple of years after Typhoon Haiyan had destroyed vast tracts of land and housing throughout the country. His mission is to ascertain why the local communities fishing boats are being attacked in the waters off Mindanao and being destroyed by an unknown assailant. This is an embarrassment for the US government as Gopher Oil, the company that is supposedly searching for oil in that area, is in fact a totally owned subsidiary of the US government and they do not want any unwelcome Philippine government officials from Manilla prying around the oil rigs .The reason for their concern in Washington is that the ‘Project Pacifico’ complex, which is situated under the Gopher oil rigs, is intended to be the underwater refuge for the President in the event of a nuclear war. ‘Project Pacifico’ would act as a safe haven and command facility for the President and government of the United States, should there be an unprovoked nuclear attack from its enemies.

Grant runs up against ‘The Moro National Liberation Front’ guerrilla group intent on thwarting his investigations. However, the MNLF are certain that the destroyer of the fishing craft is an American submarine. The MNLF make several attempts both by assassination and ambush to speed up Grant’s demise. In the background there is an even more sinister group whose aims seem to run on similar guidelines as the MNLF.

A beautiful Filipina government official Pilar Oracca is sent down from Manilla to determine if a giant shark from mythology ‘Megalodon’ is responsible for the attacks on the fishing craft or perhaps the attacks are being committed by some other entity? Pilar and David Grant are attracted to each other and form a loving relationship. The MNLF kidnap Pilar and demand a hostage exchange with David Grant or they will kill her. Grant enlists Captain Garcia head of the security police to help him in his quest to free Pilar. They succeed in rescuing her but with dire consequences.

Director Carson the scientist responsible for the construction of Project Pacifico and head of the complex, is also a renowned ichythyologist. He informs David Grant that through his expertise in that field, it has lead him to the opinion that Megalodon has woken from its slumbers and was now terrorising the Philippine fishing communities.

Betrayal and subterfuge encounter David Grant on all sides. However, what is the purpose of fabricating Megalodon’s existence if the monster shark does not exist? Grant however is certain of one thing and that is if 100 ton behemoth from the Pliocene period exists it would make a formidable and terrible adversary.

Its cold brain centres alert to crush and destroy. Lesser scavengers of the sea shied away as the huge bulk of this nemesis cut a swath of annihilation through millions of micro-organisms.
